Ra the Creator
Ra was the one to make it all. Ra created Heliopolis, the city of sun worship. He was the one to create the Earth you're standing on. He also made the Netherworld. If you are up right to go to the Underworld you would need a ride. Ra was the one to pick you up in a ferryboat and take you along the creepy River of Death.
The gods told a couple stories about Heliopolis; that Ra emerged from primordial waters on the mound of Earth named Benben. Have you ever heard a mound that has a name? Ra was said to have came up from the first Lotus blossom. Don't you think he would risen from something more manly? Anyway this Creator was known as all powerful even though he came from a flower.

Ahh a New Day
Ra had an evil rival that he battled all the time. His rival was a serpent named Apep. Doesn't it seem that all the bad guys are the serpents? Apep's symbol is chaos, madness and craziness! Ra always beat Apep down to the ground to make a new day. Ra's worshipper's had to rejoice a lot. They had to worship every day at sunrise for their whole life. Hey wait I need to rejoice! The priests had to do big celebratory rituals at the big temples. Ra brought the sun up by going on a boat and floating on the clouds above every one. When it was night they would wish him a good travel because he had to fight dark scary monsters. When he came back from fighting the monsters they would thank him for the great sun light.
The Big Daddy Story
There were crazy waters, the whole world was dark, then BOOM, Ra was made. Ra was walking around then he breathed in and spits out two kids, nasty. The kids names are Shu and Tefnut. So Ra sends them to battle darkness! At the moment Ra makes a glowing bright eye that pushes all the bad darkness away. The eye also finds his children. But when the eye comes back Ra has an eye too, crazy! Since he already has an eye he sent the extra eye away so the eye gets very furious. Then Ra makes another eye similar to the other one. So the two eyes are the sun and the moon. Then for some strange reason Ra cries about his creation. His tears make man and woman, that's not right. Then Shu and Tefnut have a good friendship. Shu and Tefnut have two kids, didn't know they had that big of friendship. Their twins named Geb, god of Earth, and Nut, the goddess of the sky. Their names are very close to their parents. Shu brakes them apart from each other. Then Nut has five kids! Man their is a lot of giving birth in this. The gods take in the other of Ra's children making a big enormous group of nine. All of the gods, except for the last one, made the future. Finally the final god. Ra created him to be very powerful and clever. He has powers of the whole moon, wow! All the gods have an animal head so he got one too, it's an Ibis head. For the ending Ra rises from the water and rises the sun, sky high so his children can have light.
Ra is a Transformer
Ra can transform into many different forms; maybe a million! Here's a list of some: a crowned man, a falcon's head, and a scarab beetle pushing the sun sky high. Way, way, way down in a cavern there were secret hidden writings and pictures of the 75 forms of Ra,Wow, there were some mummified forms of Ra. That's nasty, why would you want to be a mummified form like a mummy head, nasty. Ra also can be a snake, and feathers or flowers. They also gave Ra cool names like; the shining one, the hidden one, the little creeper, the renewer of the Earth, wind in the souls (I just got some chills), and the exalted one. There is a last one but they destroyed it for no reason? The King of the Living!
Ra was a god of the living, and Osiris was the king of the dead. In the Old Kingdom weird kinds of forms assumed powers of Ra. Hey the kings became his sons, his sons? Yes his sons, well physically. This lasted forever in Egyptian history. Alexander III, the great, destroyed Egypt. He went to the Oasis of Siwa in the desert, creepy names, to become Ra's son! Alexander was thinking he had magical powers of the true king of the Nile? During the New Kingdom, I wish I had one, the real son, Amun was powerful, strong, and a mighty deity in Egypt because he was united with Ra!
